The history of the origin of crab salad does not have an unambiguous version. According to one of them, crab salad appeared in the early 20th century in the USA, where it became a popular dish at parties. At that time its composition included crabs, not crab sticks.
In the USSR, crab salad became known in the 1970s and immediately won the attention of the people.

However, at that time it was difficult to get crabs, so the composition of the salad began to add imitation crab meat – the so-called crab sticks. Since then, the composition of the salad has not changed much. It is prepared simply, has a delicate flavor and can be served both for everyday and festive tables.

Ingredients for crab salad:

  • crab sticks – 500 g;
  • canned corn – 200 g;
  • cucumbers – 100 g;
  • boiled carrots – 100 g;
