Every teenager now knows the meaning of the word snack. This is a simple light snack, which can quite become a substitute for a full dinner and lunch. Snacks have long evolved, new types of various products of this type appeared. For example, snacks can be considered chips, crackers, crackers, breadcrumbs and even seeds.
Of course, this food briefly satisfies hunger, but during a trip can be quite an acceptable
snack
. However, do not constantly fill your diet with snacks alone. Otherwise, there is a chance of developing gastritis and other diseases of the digestive system.
Let’s talk about a simple homemade snack – cheese-potato sticks.
Ingredients for cheese-potato sticks:
- potatoes – 400 g;
- cheese – 90 g;
- starch – 90 g;
- salt – ¼ tsp.
Preparation of cheese-potato sticks:
Cut the peeled potatoes into small cubes and boil them in salted water until tender.
Grate cheese on small grating cutters and pour it together with starch to the hot mashed potatoes. Thoroughly mix the ingredients and knead
into an
elastic dough
. Put the dough in a cellophane bag and roll out into a rectangular 16×13 cm layer 1 cm thick.
Cut the dough into small bars with a knife.
If the knife sticks to the dough, you should wipe it with a damp napkin.
Roll up the edges of the bars to make them more even. In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the sticks on both sides until golden.
Don’t forget to separate the sticks so that they don’t stick together.
Place the sticks on a plate with a paper towel. This way excess oil will be absorbed into the towel and the sticks will be more comfortable to eat.
