Curd, garlic and dill: a recipe for curd scones that will change your kitchen forever

Curd cakes are a tasty and hearty dish, which is most often prepared for breakfast. It turns out to be nutritious due to the cottage cheese in the composition. This product perfectly saturates the body thanks to the protein in the composition. And protein gives a boost of energy for the working day.

In many countries, cottage cheese flatbreads are widespread. For example, known flatbreads with cottage cheese in Georgia. They are called imeruli khachapuri.

In

addition to cottage cheese, cheese is put in such flatbreads.

In India, paratha with paneer is prepared. Paneer is an analog of cottage cheese. It is put into wheat tortillas, topping the filling with herbs and spices. There are similar flatbreads in Turkey – Gözleme. They are made of unleavened dough with white cheese and

are also found in Greece, Poland, Moldavia and Romania. This is a common dish that has managed to take root in different countries. Let’s prepare a more familiar version of cottage cheese flatbread.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • Flour – 150 g;
  • Salt – 1/3 tsp;
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp;
  • Water – 330 ml;
  • Sugar – a pinch.

Ingredients for stuffing:

  • Cottage cheese – 300 g;
  • Salt – a pinch;
  • Garlic – 1 clove;
  • Dill – a bunch.

Preparation of cottage cheese scones:

Mix flour with salt and sugar, pour in water and vegetable oil, mix. Let the dough stay warm for 10 minutes. Chop

the dill, crush the garlic clove and chop it finely. Salt the cottage cheese, add the garlic and dill, mix.

Oil a frying pan with a thin layer of oil, pour in a ladle of batter. Fry a thin flatbread on one side, turn it over.

Spread the filling on a part of the flatbread, cover with the other half.
