When are cakes most often baked? For birthdays, for anniversaries, for weddings. Most often cakes are associated with birthdays. For example, in the U.S. there are special cakes for this holiday for children. The
tradition of baking a cake for a birthday came from Germany in the XV century. Then under the word cake confectioners meant a sweet pastry, that is, a sponge without any cream.

This dessert has literally become the conclusion of any celebration. At the same time, in the modern world, it is not necessary to make cakes to order from confectioners.
There are many recipes for simple homemade cakes. Let’s tell about the cake “Paradise Delight”.
Ingredients for the cake “Paradise Delight”:
- yolks – 6 pcs;
- sugar – 270 g;
- vanilla – a pinch;
- cornstarch – 50 g;
- milk – 500 g;
- butter – 120 g;
- egg white – 6 pcs;
- salt – a pinch;
- coconut shavings – 200 g;
- sour cream – 200 g;
- condensed milk – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of the cake “Paradise Delight”:
In a saucepan pour starch and 150 grams of sugar, stir. Add the yolks and a little milk to the mixture, stir until homogeneous
. Pour the rest of the milk into the mixture and bring to thickening on medium heat, then turn down the heat. Stir constantly and cook until bubbling.
Remove the thick custard base from the heat and pour in the vanilla. Transfer the base to a bowl and cover with cling film, leave to cool.
In a separate bowl, beat the whites with salt to a lush foam. Gradually add 120 grams of sugar to the foam, beat at low speed,
then at high speed beat the whites to stable peaks
.
Pour coconut shavings into the whites, mix gently.
Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with parchment, level the surface.
Bake coconut biscuit at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.
Beat soft butter with a mixer, gradually add the custard base.
Beat the components until a creamy consistency is formed.
Remove the parchment from the cake, cut off the uneven edges and divide into 3 equal parts. Assemble the cake by laying out the crusts and cream one by one.
Cream the sides and top of the cake.
Decorate the cake with coconut shavings on the sides.
We put the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
For decoration we make sour cream – whip condensed milk in sour
cream. We put the cream in a pastry bag, put small flowers on the top of the cake.
You get a beautiful sweet cake “Paradise Delight”.
