Why is
sweet
pepper so called? The fact is that in the CIS you can often hear that sweet pepper is Bulgarian.
However, in Europe it is not customary to call the pepper Bulgarian. The
fact is that in the Soviet Union, sweet peppers were brought mainly from Bulgaria. Therefore, the name of pepper originated in the people.
This vegetable contains a lot of vitamin C. It is very useful for the body. It is necessary to include pepper in your diet.
If you do not want to prepare salads from bell peppers alone, then you can prepare an appetizer from sweet peppers.
Ingredients for sweet pepper appetizer:
- sweet pepper – 8 pcs;
- garlic – 3 cloves;
- dried basil – ½ tsp;
- honey – 1 tsp;
- salt – 0.5 tsp;
- apple cider vinegar – tbsp;
- vegetable oil – 100 ml.
Preparation of sweet pepper appetizer:
Cover a baking tray with foil, put the peppers on it. Bake the peppers in the oven at 200 degrees for half an hour.
Put garlic in a jar, pour 50 ml of vegetable oil. Pour salt to the vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar, add basil and honey. Whisk until homogeneous.
Put the baked peppers in a cellophane bag and leave for 20 minutes. Next, remove the skin and insides of the peppers with the kernels.
Cut the peppers into small pieces.
In a jar put a layer of peppers, pour a mixture of vegetable oil and garlic

Similarly fill the jar with these layers.
We close the jar with a lid and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. The result is a great appetizer of peppers for every day.
