Let’s prepare capelin in an unusual way – let’s salt the fish

Ingredients for salted capelin:
- Capelin – 600 g;
- Onion – 2 pcs;
- Water – 800 ml;
- Coriander – 1.5 tsp;
- Peppercorns – 1/3 tsp;
- Allspice – 1/3 tsp;
- Cloves – 3 pcs;
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp;
- Laurel leaf – 2 pcs;
- Salt – 2.5 tbsp;
- Vinegar 9% – 2 tbsp;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of salted capelin:
Pour water into a saucepan and pour coriander, peppercorns, oregano pepper, cloves, mustard seeds, bay leaf and salt, boil for 2 minutes. At this time, clean the fish from the insides and head, get rid of the black film inside.
Cut onions into rings. Place in a deep mold in layers capelin and onion rings.
Pour vinegar and vegetable oil into the marinade, mix.
