Doughnuts like fluff: a gypsy woman shared her recipe. The dough is soft and airy

Doughnut is the English name for the well-known puffed doughnuts. In the CIS countries, round pies with a hole in them had this name because they were made of very puffy dough. Over time, the recipes for pyshki migrated to the U.S.

Of course, the Americans brought their own zest to the preparation of doughnuts. They began to cover these cakes with glaze and add various decorations in the form of berries and fruits. Police officers in America are even entitled to a free doughnut from the institution during the shift.

We will show you how to make tender and fluffy doughnuts at home.

Ingredients for doughnuts:

  • flour – 300 g;
  • water – 170 ml;
  • yeast – 8 g;
  • sugar – 2 tsp;
  • salt – 1/2 tsp;
  • vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
  • powdered sugar – 10 g.

Preparation of doughnuts:

In a bowl with water pour granulated sugar and yeast, mix and leave for 5 minutes. Combine the salt and flour, pour in the yeast liquid, stir it in advance.

Knead the dough with a spoon, and then add vegetable oil. Continue to knead the dough in the bowl with your hands.

Transfer the dough to the table, knead for 3-4 minutes.

Send the dough back to the bowl, cover with cellophane and leave it warm for 30-40 minutes. For example, you can put the bowl in a heated oven.

Grease the table with vegetable oil, roll out the dough into two thin sausages. Divide the dough across into many small lumps.

Poke the formed lumps in the middle with your finger, widen the hole and stretch the doughnut.

Leave the doughnuts under cellophane for 15 minutes.

In 5 minutes heat 500 ml of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place 3-4 doughnuts in the oil, fry on one side for 2 minutes.

Then turn the doughnuts over and fry for another 1.5 minutes.

Place the doughnuts on a paper towel to drip off excess oil. Don’t forget to sprinkle the doughnuts with powdered sugar before serving.
