Duke Cake. A simple recipe for a delicious homemade dessert

Cake “Duke” with sour cream is a sweet treat known and loved by many. It often takes center stage at holidays, family celebrations and birthdays. Sour cream gives this dessert lightness and airiness, which makes it especially attractive. Such a cake differs not only in taste, but also in the variety of cooking techniques and filling options.

Sour cream has a delicate texture and sour flavor, which perfectly harmonizes with various biscuits and cakes.

Cooking a cake with sour cream does not require special culinary skills, which makes it accessible to a wide audience. This dessert can be adapted to any preferences: from the choice of cakes to the addition of various flavors and toppings.

The result is a unique treat that will delight both children and adults.

Ingredients for the sponge cake:

  • eggs – 5 pcs;
  • salt – a pinch;
  • sugar – 140 g;
  • honey – 100 g;
  • flour – 200 g;
  • leavening agent – 12 g;
  • vegetable oil – 40 ml.

Ingredients for the cream:

  • sour cream – 600 g;
  • boiled condensed milk – 500 g;
  • nuts – 200 g;
  • prunes – 200 g;
  • chocolate – 80 g.

Preparation of the cake “Duke”:

In a bowl, combine eggs with salt and sugar, beat with a mixer until homogeneous lush mass. Add honey to the mixture and continue beating until homogeneous.

Sift flour and baking powder into the lush mass, knead a delicate biscuit dough without a mixer. Lay out on the bottom of a mold with a diameter of 26 cm parchment, put all the dough.

Bake the biscuit at 180 degrees for 35-30 minutes, and then leave to cool slightly. Remove the biscuit from the mold and let cool completely.

Similarly chop walnuts. Combine sour cream with condensed milk and beat with a mixer until a creamy texture is formed.

Divide the biscuit into 3 crusts, the cap from the top can be cut off. Grease each crust with cream and sprinkle with nuts and prunes.
