Pies are not only a hearty dish filled with meat, eggs, cabbage and other components. Now a pie is a dessert that can be served with tea. Previously, baking for peasants had one task – to satisfy hunger. They did not think about the fact that a pie could be sweet. Such baked goods were created only for holidays. For example, apple pie was considered a dessert pie
. However, there are not always apples in the house, especially in winter. If there are no fruits and berries, and you want to cook a dessert pie, make it from sugar. Let’s tell you how to prepare a sugar pie.
Ingredients for sugar pie:
- egg – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 110 g;
- butter – 160 ml;
- milk – 50 ml;
- flour – 280 g;
- yeast – 8 g.
Preparation of sugar cake:
In a bowl to the eggs pour 20 grams of sugar. Melt 90 ml of butter, add to the egg mixture with warm milk, stir.
Sift the flour and yeast into the mixture, knead a thick and sticky dough

Cover the dough with cling film and leave it to warm for 30-35 minutes.
Mix the rest of the butter with the sugar and send to the refrigerator to harden. Knead the dough again and transfer it to a 22 cm baking
dish. Cover the dish with parchment. Cover the mold with a towel and leave it warm for 20-25 minutes.
Make small holes in the pie all over the surface, where we put the solidified butter and sugar.
Bake the pie at 10 degrees for 30 minutes.
After baking readiness can be checked with a wooden skewer. If the skewer comes out dry from the pie, then the sugar pie is ready.
