Pancakes are a dish that is known in many countries around the world. They are made of liquid dough and fried in a frying pan. Flapjacks
can be sweet or savory, depending on the recipe. The history of fritters goes back many centuries. The first mentions of them are found in the cuisine of the Eastern Slavs. Then the fritters were made of sour dough on the basis of simple sour milk or kefir. Eggs, flour and sugar were added to the dough. The resulting mixture was laid out with a spoon on a frying pan and fried on both sides.
Ready fritters are usually served with sour cream, honey or jam.
Let’s fry our own lazy breakfast fritters according to a modern recipe.
Ingredients for lazy fritters:
- Kefir – 250 ml;
- Soda – tsp;
- Egg – 2 pcs;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Sugar – tsp;
- Milk – 250 ml;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- Sausage – 150 g;
- Green onion – a bundle;
- Cheese – 100 g;
- Flour – 300 g.
Preparation of lazy fritters:
Pour baking soda into a bowl with kefir and mix until the ingredients react. Pour salt and sugar into the kefir, break eggs there and mix until the grains of sand dissolve.
Pour milk and vegetable oil into the kefir and mix again. Cut sausage finely, grate cheese on a coarse grater, chop green onions
. Pour cheese, sausage and onions into the mixture of kefir and eggs. Pour flour into the kefir and knead a thick dough.
Grease a frying pan with a couple of spoonfuls of vegetable oil. Use a ladle to pour the dough onto the surface, cover with a lid.
Fry the fritters on both sides until browned.
You can make one large fritters or many small ones – at your discretion.
It makes a hearty light breakfast.
