Many people consider the most basic fruit pie to be apple pie. Then the most classic berry pie for most European nations is cherry pie.
Cherries, like apples, grow on the territories of many countries. Including cherry pie came even to the gastronomic culture of North America. Such a pie is prepared everywhere from different types of dough.
Slavs liked to create a cherry pie on the basis of sour cream. Now this baking can be done easily and quickly. Let’s tell about a quick recipe for cherry pie.
Ingredients for cherry pie:
- Egg – 2 pcs;
- Flour – 200 g;
- semolina – 200 g;
- Kefir – 200 g;
- Sugar – 200 g;
- Vegetable oil – 100 g;
- Cherries – 200 g;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Soda – 0.5 tsp;
- Baking powder – 1 tsp.
Preparation of cherry pie:
In a bowl with eggs, beat with a whisk the granulated sugar and salt until homogeneous. Gradually pour warm kefir into the mixture, and then vegetable oil.
Pour semolina into the mixture, stir. Sift flour combined with baking powder into the dough, continue kneading with a whisk. Pour
baking
soda into the dough, stir additionally.
Grease a silicone baking mold with vegetable oil, spread the dough.
Put on the surface of the dough a cherry, previously removed from the pits.
Bake the cake at 180 degrees for half an hour in the oven.
You can remove the pie from the mold after 5-7 minutes. We advise you to sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar as a decoration.
