Many people underestimate fish products, thinking that this meat is bland and not hearty. However, fish contains a lot of unique fats and fatty acids, which are necessary for the normal functioning of the body.
Also in some types of fish the protein ratio is much higher than in meat. Therefore, fish should be considered a dietary product.
Probably, a bad attitude to fish fillets arises from the inability to cook this meat. We will tell you how to make fish in the oven on a vegetable pillow.
Ingredients of fish on a vegetable pillow:
- Fish – 3 pcs;
- Carrots – 2 pcs;
- Onions – 2 pcs;
- Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
- Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Coriander – 1 tsp;
- Black pepper – ½ tsp;
- Sour cream – 2 tbsp;
- Dijon mustard – 2 tsp;
- Garlic – 1 clove;
- Soy sauce – 50 ml.
Cooking fish on a vegetable pillow:
Remove the head, innards, gills and fins from the fish, cut into large pieces across. Put the fish in a bowl, cover with a lid.
In a bowl prepare the marinade – combine mayonnaise with salt, coriander, black pepper, sour cream, Dijon mustard and soy sauce. Press garlic cloves into the marinade and mix.
Pour the marinade over the fish, cover and leave to marinate for half an hour.
Cut onions in half rings, grate carrots on a coarse grater. In a frying pan fry the vegetables until soft.
Put the vegetables in a mold for baking. On the vegetable pillow put the fish, pour the rest of the marinade over it.
Under the lid bake the fish in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. Then remove the lid and continue baking for 20 minutes.
