Flatbread is one of the main dishes of oriental cuisine. The inhabitants of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and other countries replaced bread with flatbread. Probably, the love for flatbread among these peoples goes back centuries.
The veneration of flatbread is great. There are certain rules of handling this product. For example, tortillas should not be torn and turned upside down. It is not allowed to throw away a flatbread, it is a sin. Children in the East are brought up with great respect for tortillas.
Now in the stores there are different kinds of tortillas

From the usual thick and puffy to lavash. However, you should still prepare homemade flatbread. They are tastier and more flavorful.
Ingredients for flatbread “Pyatiminutok”:
- milk – 400 ml;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- paprika – 1 tsp;
- pepper mixture – 1 tsp;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
- flour – 400 g;
- cheese – 200 g;
- green onion – bundle;
- dill – bundle.
Preparation of “Five-minute” flatbreads:
In a bowl with milk break eggs, pour paprika, pepper mixture and salt, mix. Pour the vegetable oil into the mixture, pour in the flour and knead the dough without lumps.
Chop the green onion and dill finely

Pour the onions and dill into the bowl with the dough and stir.
Grate cheese on a fine grater
. In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry thin tortillas on both sides.
Spread cheese on a part of the flatbread, cover with the second side.
Lightly heat the cheese inside the tortilla in the frying pan. Prepare the rest of the tortillas in the same way.
Don’t forget to grease the frying pan with a drop of vegetable oil each time.
After cooking the tortillas can also be smeared, but with butter.
You can make hearty tortillas with cheese, for example, with mozzarella.
