Zeppelins is a dish from the world culinary history. The traditional delicacy comes from Lithuanian and Belarusian cuisine and is a combination of tender potatoes with a refined meat filling. The
dish is called in different ways: both zrazy and dumplings in Lithuanian

For those who like to try new recipes in their home kitchen, we tell you how to prepare a unique dish – zeppelins.
Ingredients for potato dough:
- potatoes – 1 kg;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- flour – 40 g;
- dill – a bunch;
- salt, pepper.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- minced meat – 600 g;
- onion – 1 pc;
- vegetable oil;
- salt, pepper.
Preparation:
For the stuffing in a deep bowl send minced meat, salt and pepper to taste. Finely chop onions, fry in a frying pan until transparent, then add the prepared minced meat and fry the ingredients together until ready.
Peel and cut into small pieces potatoes, boil in a saucepan
.
Then knead into mashed potatoes, add salt and pepper to taste. Break 2 chicken eggs and mix. Add finely chopped dill and mix again. Add
flour to the potato filling, do it in small portions. Knead the dough first with a spoon, then with your hands.
Roll the resulting dough into a sausage, cut into 20 equal pieces and form balls.
Then with the palms of our hands we press the potato dough into a flatbread, put the minced meat in the middle and fold the edges to form a pie.
The dish is not ready yet because of the raw egg and flour, so we boil the products in salted water. As soon as the zeppelins float, boil for another 2 minutes and remove.
The dish is ready, and if you sprinkle it with fried onions, it will be even more appetizing. Cook according to our recipes!
