history of clafoutis goes back to the distant past of France. It is believed that this dessert appeared in the XVIII century in the province of Limousin. Initially, clafouti was made of stale bread, milk, eggs and cherries. This recipe was simple and economical, so it quickly gained popularity among peasants

. Over time, clafouti became a more refined dessert. It began to add sugar, vanilla, as well as a variety of fruits and berries. Today, clafouti is prepared not only in France, but also in other countries around the world.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries – 500 g;
  • Flour – 130 g;
  • Milk – 300 ml;
  • Eggs – 4 pcs;
  • Sugar – 170 g;
  • Vanilla sugar – 8 g;
  • Butter – 20 g.

Preparation of Clafouti:

Cut strawberries in half, grease a baking mold with butter. Sprinkle a layer of butter with 20 grams of sugar, lay the strawberries on the bottom.

Break eggs in a bowl, pour classic and vanilla sugar, stir until the grains of sand are dissolved. Sift the flour into the egg and sugar mixture, pour in the milk and mix thoroughly.

Pour the batter into the baking dish with the strawberries.
