Fried meat pies according to an old recipe. The dough is like a cloud and the filling is so good to eat

Pies are one of the most common dishes in the world and exist in many cultures. They can be made from different types of dough: yeast, puff pastry, sand dough. Also pirozhki can have different fillings: meat, vegetable, fruit.

Fried pirozhki probably appeared at the same time when they began to fry food on fire or in oil.

Their preparation did not require complex culinary skills, and the ingredients were available to almost everyone.

Let’s tell you how to bake puffy golden fried pies

Ingredients for the dough:

  • flour – 480 g;
  • butter – 100 g;
  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • milk – 180 g;
  • sugar – 1 tbsp;
  • salt – 1/2 tsp;
  • yeast – 15 g.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • pork – 600 g;
  • onion – 1 pc;
  • flour – 1 tsp;
  • bay leaf – 2 pcs;
  • vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
  • meat broth – 200 ml;
  • salt – ⅓ tsp.

Preparation of fried patties:

Cut pork into small pieces, fry it until golden in a frying pan in vegetable oil. Boil the meat in water until the meat is ready.

5 minutes before the pork is ready, put a bay leaf in the water. Next, chop the meat through a meat grinder. Chop finely onion, in a frying pan in the same vegetable oil fry it until lightly golden.

Put to the onion meat, mix. Separately in a dry frying pan fry flour until golden. Pour the flour and salt to the stuffing, pour the broth and mix.

To prepare the dough, combine yeast and sugar until liquid. In a bowl break eggs, pour melted butter, warm milk and yeast, pour salt.

Stir the ingredients to a homogeneous liquid mixture, then gradually pour the flour. Knead the flour until soft and elastic, slightly sticky.

Leave the dough under a

cling

film for an hour. Then knead the dough and divide it into 60 gram

rolls. Roll the rolls into oval cakes, where we put the filling. Seal the meat inside the dough and place the patties with the seams facing down.

Fry the patties in a frying pan in vegetable oil until golden on both sides. The patties should be placed in the oil with the seam down.
