Cooking pies is part of the culture of most countries. This tradition dates back to antiquity, carried through years and centuries. Gradually, the preparation of pies began to modernize. That is, the dough over time became edible, the size of pies increased, new fillings appeared. For example, pies with fruit were not cooked before. Priority was given only to pies with meat and poultry
. Baking was even used for entertainment. Live animals were ground into the dough for this purpose.
Now pies are prepared only to satisfy their food needs. We will tell you how to cook fried pies on kefir.
Ingredients of the dough for fried patties on kefir:
- kefir 2,5% – 250 ml;
- sour cream – 2 tablespoons;
- egg yolk – pcs;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- baking soda – ½ tsp;
- sugar – tsp;
- vegetable oil – tbsp;
- flour – 400 g.
Ingredients for the filling:
- cabbage – 500 g;
- boiled eggs – 2 pcs;
- milk – 40 ml;
- butter – 30 g;
- sugar – ½ tsp;
- salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation of fried patties on kefir:
Shinkuem finely cabbage, put it together with butter, salt and sugar in a frying pan. Bring cabbage to softness, pour milk into the mixture.
Cut small cubes of boiled eggs, add to the cabbage mass. It is necessary to evaporate all the liquid in the pan with cabbage, and then cool the stuffing.
To prepare the dough in a bowl with kefir, it is necessary to mix vegetable oil, egg yolk, sour cream, salt and granulated sugar. Separately combine flour and baking soda, gradually pour into the kefir, knead a soft and not sticky dough.
Cover the dough with a towel and let rise, it takes about half an hour. Then divide the dough into 18 lumps, which we roll out into thick tortillas.
In the tortillas we put the stuffing with a tablespoon and pinch the edges. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the patties for 1.5-2 minutes on both sides over medium heat.
The patties are made of thin dough with a very juicy filling. After frying, put the patties on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
