Is it possible to find a person who would not like basket cakes? This is one of the most common types of pastries in the Soviet Union. However, the dessert appeared in our country much earlier. For

the first time, baskets made of sweet dough with an open filling became known in the 19th century. Probably, the confectioner forgot to put the dough on top of the filling and baked the product incorrectly. But this miscalculation turned out to be very interesting for colleagues in the kitchen,

so they began to experiment with baking baskets. The dough was changed, new types of filling were added.

We will tell you one of the most popular ways of preparing baskets with yogurt.

Ingredients for yogurt baskets:

  • butter – 100 g;
  • Greek yogurt – 150 g;
  • egg – 3 pcs;
  • lemon – pcs;
  • sugar – 200 g;
  • flour – 250 g;
  • salt – a pinch;
  • leavening agent – 8 g.

Preparation of yogurt baskets:

Mix in a bowl one egg with 100 grams of sugar and butter. When the sugar particles dissolve in the mixture, pour the flour and baking powder into the mixture and knead the dough.

The dough should be put in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
