Many cakes are considered culinary masterpieces for many years. For example, the famous Napoleon and Medovik remain relevant for 200-300 years. Unfortunately, this can be said about not every cake. It all depends on how delicious and memorable the dessert was. A

large number of cakes have left our kitchen. They are not prepared even in factories. However, not all cakes can be considered deservedly forgotten.

There is a sour cream cake with apricots and prunes, which is worth making at least once. This cake will replace other purchased desserts, will become a favorite on the holiday table.

Let’s prepare a cake with apricots and prunes on our own.

Ingredients of sponge cake for the cake:

  • Egg – 5 pcs;
  • Sugar – 250 g;
  • apricots – 300 g;
  • Prunes – 300 g;
  • Walnuts – 150 g;
  • Flour – 300 g;
  • Leavening agent – 20 g;
  • Salt – 1 g.

Ingredients for the cream:

  • Sour cream – 500 g;
  • Sugar – 250 g;
  • Vanillin – 1 g.

Ingredients for cream-cheese:

  • Butter – 100 g;
  • Cottage cheese – 350 g;
  • Powdered sugar – 200 g.

Ingredients for decoration:

  • Milk chocolate – 100 g;
  • Butter – 40 g.

Preparation of the cake with apricots and prunes:

Pour the walnuts on a baking tray, lightly chop them. Bake the walnut in the oven at 150 degrees for 10 minutes, let cool for a minute.

In pots boil apricots and prunes for 10-12 minutes. Cooled walnuts peel off the husks and chop with a knife. Chop

boiled dried fruit finely and mix in a separate bowl.

Break eggs into a bowl, pour sugar and beat with a whisk for 5-7 minutes, add salt. Combine the flour and baking powder and pour into the egg mixture, knead the dough with your hands.

Mix the nuts and dried fruit, add to the dough and mix. Cover a round pastry mold with parchment, put ⅓ of the dough on the bottom.

Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Similarly create a couple more cakes from the remaining dough.

Cool the cakes first in the mold, then on a rack and divide each cake into two. For the cream, mix sour cream with sugar and vanilla, treat the cakes with the mixture.

and mix thoroughly to a homogeneous consistency. Remove the cake from the pastry ring and smear its sides and top with cream-cheese.

Leave the cake in the refrigerator while we prepare the glaze. Melt the chocolate in short pulses of 10 seconds in the microwave and then add the butter, stir.
