For the first time the whole world learned about salads through Italy. The fact is that this country is the successor of the Ancient Roman cuisine. Originally, the dish was invented by the Romans. Except that before our era, no one guessed that salad is a large number of different dishes. At that time under the salad was meant one dish.
It was a light mix of different greens. You can guess that salad was used as a snack or as an aperitif to the main course.
In modern times, salads have changed a lot, added to the composition of more vegetables and fruits, meat. Let’s talk about one of the actual salads for the holiday table.
Ingredients for a popular salad:
- chicken fillet – 300 g;
- salt – a pinch;
- potatoes – 300 g;
- green onion – bundle;
- tomato – 2 pcs;
- mayonnaise – 100 g;
- chicken eggs – 2 pcs;
- cheese – 100 g.
Preparation of the walking salad:
Before the main stages of preparation it is necessary to boil to readiness chicken fillet and potatoes, eggs – hard-boiled.
Do not forget to also cool the products to make it easier to work with them.

Lining a deep salad bowl with food film, lay out the first layer – cheese (50 grams). Each subsequent layer is smeared with a tablespoon of mayonnaise and tamped well.
Cut the tomato, potatoes and fillets into small pieces. Lay out the second layer with half of the total amount of tomatoes. Shinkuem finely green onions, pour ½ of the mass on the tomato layer.
Peel eggs from the shell, chop on medium grater teeth. Put half of the egg mixture on top of the onion layer. Next, lay out ½ of the chicken fillet, fill similarly with potatoes.
Lay out the second part of the ingredients in the same way, only in the next tiers. Put the salad in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, turn it upside down and remove the foil.
The result is an unusual puff salad. It can be a good competition to traditional dishes.
