Thanks to the abundance of various meat products in the store, we rarely choose fish dishes as dinner or lunch. As a rule, people justify replacing fish with pork, beef or chicken by the fact that the meat of land animals is more hearty.
However, you can not exclude fish meat from your diet. The fact is that it is saturated with minerals necessary for the body. For example, in fish you can find phosphorus, calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium. This is not a complete list of all the useful components that encapsulate fish meat.
To start eating fish dishes, it is worth choosing the right recipes. We suggest you try cooking fish in pita bread.
Ingredients for fish in pita bread:
- fish fillet – 500 g;
- cheese – 50 g;
- onions – pcs;
- sour cream – 3 tbsp;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- egg – 2 pcs;
- vinegar – tbsp. l.;
- pita – 8 pcs;
- dill – bundle;
- tomato – 2 pcs;
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp.
Cooking fish in pita bread:
Onion cut into quarter rings, salt, add vinegar and 100 ml of water. Leave the onion to marinate, at this time cut the fish fillet into small pieces.
Pour out the excess liquid from the onion, add a part of it to the blender along with the egg, dill and vegetable oil. In the resulting mixture put a couple of spoons of sour cream, mix thoroughly.
Cut thin rings of tomato, put overlapping on the center of the pita

Dip the fish pieces in the mixture of sour cream and onion, move them to the pillow of the tomato layer.
On the fillet we lay the pickled onions, seal the stuffing in the pita, as in an envelope.
Similarly wrap the tomato, fish and onion in the rest of the pita.
Shred cheese finely on a grater, combine with sour cream and egg. Lay out the envelopes in a baking mold, smear with cheese mass.
Bake pita with fish in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
For the recipe, almost any fish fillet is suitable, except smoked and salted.
