Consumption of fish helps to trigger many positive processes in the body. It is not for nothing that various religious calendars of the world have fish days. For example, in Orthodoxy such days are considered Wednesday and Friday.

Let’s prepare stewed pollock at home.

Ingredients for stewed pollock:

  • pollock – 500 g;
  • onion – 4 pcs;
  • pickled cucumbers – 6 pieces;
  • sour cream – 150 g;
  • water – 250 ml;
  • salt – 1 tsp;
  • pepper mixture – ⅓ tsp;
  • ground black pepper – ¼ tsp;
  • sugar – 1 tsp;
  • flour – 1 tbsp.

Preparation of stewed pollock:

Remove the head, tail and fins from the fish, as well as the backbone and innards, divide pollock into small pieces of fillets.

Do not forget to rinse the fish.

Cut thin half-ring onions. Cut small pieces of pickled cucumbers

. Fry onions in vegetable oil, add cucumbers to the onions.

Pour

200 ml of boiling water to the onions and cucumbers and leave to stew for 10 minutes under a lid

. Then pour flour to the vegetables, add sour cream, salt, sugar, pepper mixture and ground black pepper.

Put the fish on the sauce and vegetables, pour 40 ml of water over it, also slightly salt it.

Stew the fish in the sauce under a lid on medium heat for 15 minutes.

You can serve pollock in the sauce with mashed potatoes and dill. But cereals are also suitable for this dish.
