Where can you taste delicious flatbread? As a rule, such delicious aromatic pastries are prepared in Turkey. This country has been famous for its dishes since ancient times. Usually, even in baked goods, Turks put a lot of spices, which greatly enhances the flavor of dishes. However, there are baked goods where few spices are used.
For example, in flatbreads, the main component is potatoes

We are not talking about all tortillas, but only a part of them.
Potato tortillas are considered hearty, but at the same time very fresh. They are able to become a replacement for the usual bread on the table. Such a flatbread is served as a plate on which the meat and vegetables are placed.
Let’s prepare a potato flatbread together.
Ingredients for potato flatbread:
- Potatoes – 3 pcs;
- Milk – 180 ml;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Sugar – ½ tsp;
- Yeast – 1 tsp;
- Flour – 300 g.
Preparation of potato cakes:
Peel and cut potatoes into large cubes, boil until tender. Turn the potatoes into mashed potatoes, mix with milk.
Pour salt, sugar and yeast into the mashed potatoes, mix thoroughly
. Sift flour into the potato mixture, knead the dough with your hands.
Gather the dough into a block, grease with vegetable oil and put in a bowl
.
Leave the dough under a plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
Knead the dough again and divide it into 2 equal parts. Divide the two parts in two again and form the rolls.
With your fingers knead the rolls into flatbreads.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, place a flatbread and fry on both sides until golden.
Fry the rest of the tortillas in the same way.
You get simple and quick potato tortillas. A good way to replace bread, with tortillas you can serve meat, fish and even soups.
