I don’t buy bread at the store: I make my own from potatoes. It tastes better and doesn’t stale

It is not always desirable to trust the quality of store bread. It’s not just the composition or chemistry, but also in compliance with sanitary norms, storage, transportation. Connoisseurs of cooking can safely switch to homemade bread, because it is soft, puffy and safe.

We are able to prepare delicious potato bread, which will consist of only simple products, but at the same time please with its airiness. Potato bread can be stored in ordinary plastic bags, so it will not go stale for many days. Let’s get to cooking!

Ingredients:

  • flour – 800 gr;
  • milk – 400 ml;
  • dry yeast – 11 gr;
  • potatoes – 3 pcs;
  • egg – pcs;
  • hard cheese – 220 gr;
  • mozzarella cheese – 180 gr;
  • salt – tsp;
  • vegetable oil – 100 ml;
  • roasted sesame.

Ingredients for coating:

  • milk – tbsp;
  • egg yolk – pcs.

Preparation:

To prepare yeast dough, we need to beat one chicken egg. Add 100 ml of vegetable oil, as well as dry yeast. Mix the ingredients with a whisk.

Combine the ingredients with warm milk, add fine salt.

Peel and grate potatoes on a coarse grater. Send it to the dough. Grate hard cheese and combine with the rest of the ingredients.

Sift the flour through a sieve and gradually add to the mixture. Knead the dough with your hands on the table. Transfer to an oiled bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. When the dough has rested, knead it in the bowl.

Grease the baking dish with butter. Fill evenly with the dough.

To prevent the dough from sticking to your hands, you can grease your hands with vegetable oil.

Cover the workpiece with a kitchen towel for 15-20 minutes.

Press the dough with your hands to divide it into small pieces of bread. Place sliced mozzarella cheese in the gaps.

Brush the bread pieces with a mixture of egg yolk and milk. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds

and leave to cook for 30-35 minutes. Oven temperature 180 degrees.
