Fans of tasty sugar baked goods are unlikely to be able to bypass various cupcakes. This is quite a popular type of baked goods that came to our country from Europe. However, cupcakes were not always such a safe dish.
In the Middle Ages, a cupcake could become the cause of plague infection. It would seem to sound like something utopian and delusional. But, back in the day, the handling of fruit for cupcakes was pretty questionable. Nobody knew about the fact that it was necessary to monitor the state of sugar somehow. Therefore, because of muffins with sugar and fruit, brought from distant countries, a large number of people became infected. This type of baking even became illegal in order to preserve public health.
In modern times, we do not have such serious problems with products. Therefore, we can prepare a wonderful quick muffin without harm to health.
Ingredients for the muffin:
- jam – 200 ml;
- baking soda – tsp;
- chicken eggs – 2 pcs;
- vegetable oil – 60 ml;
- flour – 250 ml.
Preparation of the muffin:
Combine the baking soda with the jam, stir until the products enter into a reaction with each other. In a separate bowl break a couple of eggs, beat until homogeneous. Integrate the egg mixture into the jam, mixing the ingredients.
Sift the flour into the jam mixture, knead into a sticky and thick dough. Pour vegetable oil into the dough, making it less sticky, more pliable.
Spread the dough on a special elongated muffin mold.
Bake the cupcake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Before serving, do not forget to cover the cupcake with powdered sugar.
This method of preparation is elementary, while very well suited for a tea party.
