Hake is an amazing fish as it is quite budget friendly, while it can be delicious and healthy. Hake is also called merluza, it is a white fish that
is considered to be a low calorie fish, which means you can say that the fish is dietary. Of course, when frying hake, the number of calories increases by about 40-50 grams. The
benefit of hake is not only in the low number of calories, but also in the many vitamins and minerals. For example, fish contains a lot of omega-3 acids and vitamins A, BB E and C.

Ingredients for braised hake:
- Hake – 1 kg;
- Laurel leaf – 2 pcs;
- Black pepper – 10 pcs;
- Salt – ⅓ tsp;
- Onion – 1 pcs;
- Carrots – 1 pcs;
- Flour – 1 tbsp;
- Fish broth – 200 ml;
- Sour cream – 150 g;
- Sugar – a pinch.
Cooking stewed hake:
Cut the cleaned hake into small pieces, lay it out in a saucepan. Sprinkle the fish with salt, black pepper, add bay leaves.
Pour water to the fish so that it covers it completely. Cook for 15 minutes under a lid after boiling
. Cut small cubes of onions, cut thin bars of carrots. In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry onions and carrots, pour in the same flour, stir.
Put the fish in a bowl.
Strain the broth and pour it into the onions and carrots, add sour cream and stir.
While the sauce is stewing, remove the bones from the cooled fish. Put the fish pieces in the sauce and stew for 5 minutes on low heat.
A side dish of rice, potatoes or even pearl porridge is perfect with this hake.
