Fish should be cooked at least once a week, as many of the useful substances in this product are very important for humans. However, many people neglect fish because they think that they do not know how to cook it.
In reality, cooking fish is not as difficult as it seems. You need to follow a few simple principles to make the fish meat juicy
. First, you should not cook frozen fish without preparation. It is better to immerse the fish after a slight defrosting in a solution of salt and sugar.
Secondly, you can choose not only expensive, but also budget fish. If properly marinade, then any fish will be delicious.
Let’s prepare baked pollock at home for dinner.
Ingredients for baked pollock:
- pollock – 3 pcs;
- salt – tsp;
- black pepper – ½ tsp;
- Italian herbs – ½ tsp;
- dried garlic – ⅓ tsp;
- paprika – ½ tsp;
- onion – 2,5 pcs;
- potatoes – 4 pcs;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- flour – 1 tbsp;
- Greek yogurt – 2 tbsp;
- mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
- tomato sauce – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of baked pollock:
Clean pollock from the insides, head, gills and fins, divide the carcasses in two. Put the pollock in a deep container, salt, pepper, sprinkle with Italian herbs, dry garlic and paprika.
Rub the spices into the fish carcass with your hands. Pour vegetable oil over the fish and leave it to marinate for 30 minutes under a foil.
Cut a couple of onions into half-rings, put them in a mold for baking. In advance, grease the mold with vegetable oil.
Put the fish on the onion pillow, cover with wet parchment.
Bake pollock at 195-200 degrees for 35 minutes.
Cut the peeled potatoes into bars and put them in water. Crack eggs separately, salt and pepper, whisk.
Dry the potatoes on a towel. Mix the bars with the egg mixture and flour. In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry the potato bars until golden. Chop
half an
onion
finely, mix with Greek yogurt, mayonnaise and tomato paste.
Serve fish with onion pillow and garnish with fried potato bars
