The stereotype “Mintai – fish for cats” appeared in the 1980s, when this fish on the shelves was sold at 35 kopecks per kilogram. The cost of fish products in the Soviet Union was strikingly different from today.
Prices have changed in a negative direction, so you have to save money. Mintai under capitalism ceased to be considered a fish for cats. The
recipe we will tell you about will show that pollock can be cooked deliciously at home.
Ingredients for baked pollock:
- Fresh-frozen pollock – 4 pieces;
- Sweet mustard – 4 tbsp;
- Dried herbs – 1 tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 50 ml;
- Tomatoes and boiled potatoes – for serving;
- Salt – to taste.
Cooking pollock in the oven:
Pollock carcasses get rid of the insides, bones and fins. Place pollock fillets close to each other in a baking mold, greased with vegetable oil (25 ml).
The whole surface of the fish is abundantly treated with mustard on both sides. Sprinkle dried herbs and salt on the surface of the fillet
. The oven is preheated to 190 degrees Celsius, send the fish to bake for 25 minutes.
For garnish you need to peel potatoes, cut into circles along with tomatoes. After 10 minutes it is required to take out the fish, lay out the prepared vegetables on the baked fillet.
Such a dish is great for a festive table, and for lunch or dinner. You can serve pollock immediately after baking.
