Many people think that zucchini is an uninteresting and not tasty vegetable. Some people believe that zucchini has always grown in our country and in Europe as a whole. However, it turns out that Europeans learned about zucchini only in the XVI century.
For a long time zucchini was a large part of the diet of people from Central America. According to legend, zucchini were given to fisherwomen by the gods. So the settlements survived by eating zucchini until the men returned with the catch to the villages.

Ingredients for zucchini sticks:
- Zucchini – 2 pcs;
- Sour cream – 100 g;
- Salt – 1/2 tsp;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Paneer breadcrumbs – 50 g;
- Ground nuts – 30 g;
- Cheese – 80 g.
Ingredients for the sauce:
- Sour cream – 2 tbsp;
- Garlic – a clove;
- Dill – a bunch;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Mustard – 1 tsp.
Preparation of zucchini sticks:
Remove the skin from the zucchini and cut into small bars 2-2.5 cm thick. Grate a garlic clove finely, mix with sour cream.
Pour salt and favorite spices into the sour cream mixture, mix thoroughly. Add the marinade to the bag with zucchini, close and mix thoroughly.
Combine ground nuts and breadcrumbs in a separate bowl. Grate cheese finely and add to breadcrumbs and ground nuts. Line
a baking tray with parchment and roll each zucchini stick in the mixture of cheese and breadcrumbs with nuts.
Lay the sticks at a distance from each other on the baking tray, bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
At this time prepare the sauce – chop dill finely. Add sour cream, salt and mustard to the dill. Chop garlic on a fine grater, add to the sour cream sauce, mix.
As a result, we have an appetizer of baked zucchini sticks with sour cream sauce. This is a good substitute for chips or fried potatoes.
