There are many different types of jam. For example, in addition to the classic sweet fruit mass, we know jam and jam. It turns out that these types of fruit masses are not the same.
For example, jam is a product obtained as a result of a long boiling of fruit puree. Moreover, cooking takes place with the addition of sugar. The
flavor of povidlo differs from the flavor of jam. As a rule, povidlo should not be cloyingly sweet, with notes of sourness.

Ingredients for apple jam:
- apples – kg;
- lemon juice – ½ lemon;
- lemon zest;
- mandarin juice – 80 ml;
- sugar – 500 g.
Preparation of apple jam:
Remove the core of the apples, that is, the seed pods.
Important rule: apples should be of hard varieties
Pour tangerine juice into a saucepan, pour granulated sugar,
pour lemon juice into the mixture, bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then cook for a couple of minutes.

You can use a vegetable slicer.
Put the apple slices in a saucepan, add the lemon zest. Pour the syrup into the apple mass, cover with a lid and leave for 3 hours.
Then on high heat bring the mass to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Then leave the mass for 6 hours to cool down. On medium heat, cook the mixture for 5 minutes.
If the juice has not become pulling and absorbed into the apples – cook the apples a third time. On medium heat after boiling the jam should be cooked for 2-3 minutes.
In sterilized jars put a ladle ladle received jam. Hermetically close the jars and leave the bottom up until completely cooled.
You can use jam in the morning, put it on sandwiches with cheese.
This is a good substitute for the classic jam.
