Canned fish is convenient, as this product has a long shelf life. Also, canned fish, unlike regular fish, is already processed.
As a rule, the bones in canned
fish are
already soft and can be used with meat. In addition to these basic qualities, we should not forget that also canned fish is cheaper than ordinary fish.
Thanks to these pluses, canned products have become relevant. There are canned tuna, salmon, mackerel and other fish.
Let’s create from canned mackerel a quick and easy version of an appetizer for the holiday.
Ingredients for the appetizer:
- Mackerel in oil – 180 g;
- Boiled eggs – 3 pcs;
- Melted cheese – 2 pcs;
- Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
- Chips – 90 g;
- Smoked paprika – 1 tsp;
- Dill – a bunch.
Preparation of the appetizer:
Remove excess juice from canned fish, knead with a fork. Grate cooked peeled eggs on a fine grater, mix with fish.
Grate cold processed cheese on large grated teeth, put in a bowl with eggs and fish. Fill the mixture with mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.
Crush a pack of chips to crumbs. Divide the crushed chips into two equal parts, pour paprika into one of them.
Form a small ball of the mixture, dip it in the chips with paprika. Cover the layer of chips with the fish mixture, dip it in regular chips.
Do the same with the rest of the balls from the canned food.
Sprinkle a flat plate with chopped dill, lay out on it balls of canned mackerel in chips.
It turns out an original appetizer that will surprise guests.
