Crab sticks have become an important part of a large number of salads. This accent product is able to give new flavor notes to the dish.
Crab sticks appeared relatively recently, at the end of the XX century. In our country, sticks came in the 1990s. The acute shortage of products became the basis for the introduction of new interesting salads.
People often replaced those products that were not in the house and on the shelves of stores. Crab sticks were an affordable ingredient, so they were used instead of sausage and seafood. This
is probably how crab salad, a favorite of many, was born.
We will prepare one of the interpretations of crab salad with the addition of new products.
Ingredients for crab salad:
- crab sticks – 200 g;
- mayonnaise – 3 tablespoons;
- red pepper – pcs;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- tomato – 2 pcs;
- cheese – 70 g.
Preparation of crab salad:
Cut small thin crosswise slices of crab sticks. Peel from the insides of the red pepper, cut
into
quarter rings.
Tomato cut into slices, remove the pulp, chop into quarters. Grate cheese and garlic on small grating cloves. In a bowl combine crab sticks, peppers, tomatoes, cheese and garlic.
Fill the salad with mayonnaise, mix the ingredients thoroughly

This crab salad lacks some of the products used in the classic recipe.
