Kiev salad is one of the famous salads of the Soviet era. It was often seen at resorts in various hotels. It is a light dish, which can even be considered a vitamin dish. Kiev salad has a lot of different vegetables, as well as nuts, which sets a health-enhancing tone.
Kiev salad was used as a dish before the main meal. You could have a snack before a promenade along the embankment. Later, the salad was forgotten, giving way to new delicacies from Europe.

Ingredients for Kiev salad:
- carrots – pcs;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- boiled egg – pcs;
- cheese – 30 g;
- apple – ½ pc;
- mayonnaise – 1.5 tbsp;
- walnuts – 30 g.
Preparation of Kiev salad:
Rub the peeled carrot and egg on small sharps grater. Pass garlic cloves through the press, add to the egg and carrots. Grate
cheese finely, put it in the salad. Peel the apple from the seed pods and peel. Grate the apple on a coarse grater, add to the salad.
Fill the salad with mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.
Chop nuts, sprinkle on the salad.
