Pancakes are an ancient dish that is known to many peoples. For the most part, pancakes are connected with the history of the Eastern Slavs. The fact is that in the past, before the arrival of Christianity, the Slavs worshiped pagan gods. Pancakes were an important part of the rituals
. Since the pancake was outwardly similar to the sun, it was often used as an offering to the goddess Lada. So people expressed their reverence to the goddess and lamented about fertility
. Now pancakes do not belong to pagan dishes and attributes. It is an excellent dish served in cafes and restaurants. But, especially pancakes are delicious in a homemade form and with stuffing.
Ingredients of the batter for meat pancakes:
- Egg – 3 pcs;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Sugar – 1 tbsp;
- Milk – 200 ml;
- Flour – 200 g;
- Boiling water – 100 ml;
- Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- Stuffing – 200 g;
- Onion – 1 pc;
- Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
- Salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation of meat pancakes:
In a bowl with eggs pour salt, sugar, pour milk and vegetable oil, mix thoroughly until the grains of sand dissolve. Pour the flour into the mixture and knead a thick dough. Pour
boiling water into the dough and mix again. Let the dough stay warm for 10 minutes. Then fry thin pancakes on a drop of vegetable oil.
For the filling fry minced meat in a pan with vegetable oil. Chop the onion finely and add to the minced meat, fry the components together.
Do not forget to salt the stuffing. Put the stuffing in the pancakes, roll up into rolls.
Such pancakes can be served immediately or put in the refrigerator and then warmed up.
You can also add your favorite spices to the meat in the process of frying.
