For most children from the Soviet Union, casserole is not a particularly pleasant or tasty dish. As a rule, it was served in the canteens at kindergartens and schools. Not always cooks prepared casseroles of cottage cheese or vegetables well, which greatly affected the taste of the dish.

There are many delicious and hearty casserole recipes. For example, potato casserole with minced meat.
Ingredients for potato casserole with minced meat:
- potatoes – 1 kg ;
- minced meat – 400 g;
- onion – pcs.;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- black pepper – a pinch;
- oregano – a pinch;
- bay leaf – pcs;
- tomato pulp – 400 g;
- Mozzarella.
Preparation of potato casserole with minced meat:
Peel and cut potatoes into small bars. In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry it for 15 minutes under a lid on low heat.
Season the potatoes with salt, ground black pepper and oregano and mix. Place the potato bars in spices on a baking tray, spread them evenly.
Fry the minced meat in the same pan until half cooked

Add tomato pulp and onion cut into large feathers to the meat.
Add oregano and red pepper to the minced meat to taste, salt. Press garlic cloves through a press and mix the ingredients.
Pour 50 ml of water into the mixture and add a bay leaf. Cover the pan with minced meat, stew on low heat for 7 minutes. Next, lay out the minced meat on the potato layer evenly.
Grate mozzarella on a coarse grater, sprinkle it on the surface of the mince layer.
Bake the dish at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
Before baking the dish can be sprinkled with green onions.
