First, you should always look at the composition of crab sticks. The less chemical content in the sticks, the better. It is recommended to take sticks that have a lot of fish meat and fat.
Secondly, pay attention to the appearance of the sticks. If the color of the sticks is faded, then you should not take them. This may indicate the expiration date of the product.
Let’s prepare a simple appetizer for the holiday from crab sticks

Ingredients for crab appetizer:
- crab sticks – 10 pcs;
- processed cheese – 2 pcs.;
- boiled eggs – 2 pcs;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons;
- fresh cucumber – pcs.
Preparation of crab appetizer:
Grate melted cheese on small sharps grater. Peel boiled eggs, divide into whites and yolks. Grate the whites to the cheese on a fine grater
. Pass garlic cloves through the press to the mixture of whites and cheese, dress with mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.
Peel cucumber, cut into thin small bars.
Unwrap crab sticks, put the cheese filling in them. To the filling put the cucumber bars and wrap back into the crab stick.
