I make it every day and I don’t get bored. Simple winter salad: tasty and not complicated

It turns out we know so little about the most obvious and constant foods in our diet. For example, how much information do you know about cucumbers? We meet this vegetable every day on the shelves of stores, prepare delicious salads from it. But where it came from and how long ago it entered the human diet, we do not assume.

Cucumbers as a source of food were in demand 6,000 years ago. At that time, this vegetable was grown mainly in India. However, we can learn from the Bible that cucumbers grew in other countries as well. This watery vegetable is recognized as a fruit of Egypt. There, cucumbers were eaten mainly by the poor and slaves. Growing cucumber was easy, so it did not cost a lot of money.

In particular, let’s make a light salad with cucumber.

Ingredients for salad with cucumber:

  • chicken eggs – 4 pcs;
  • dill – a bunch;
  • vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons;
  • cucumber – pcs;
  • mustard – tbsp;
  • cabbage – ½ fork;
  • sour cream – 4 tbsp;
  • salt – a pinch.

Preparation of salad with cucumber:

Boil hard-boiled eggs, peel and separate the whites from the yolks. Yolks should be kneaded with a spoon into a mush. Add to the yolk porridge vegetable oil, sour cream, salt and mustard, mix thoroughly.
