Stuffed gombovci is a Hungarian dish, which are dumplings made of dough with a filling. They can be sweet or savory and are served as an independent dish or as a side dish with meat or vegetables.
Different recipes use different types of fillings: cottage cheese, fruit, poppyseed, nut and others.
This dish has a high nutritional value due to the content of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.
Gombovtsy can become a tasty and useful addition to the diet.
Ingredients:
- Dry cottage cheese – 500 g;
- Sugar – 2 tbsp;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Flour – 2 tbsp;
- semolina – 2 tbsp;
- Butter – 40 g.
Preparation:
Knead large pieces of cottage cheese, add to it salt, sugar and egg, mix. Pour the flour and semolina into the mixture, knead a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Leave the dough for 10 minutes to swell, while heating water in a saucepan for gombovets

Divide the dough into 2 equal parts, gathering each into a separate “barrel”.
Roll each “barrel” into a sausage and divide each one lengthwise into two parts. Each part should be slightly flattened, put a small distance in the dough berries.
Then divide the sausages into small portions, without touching the berries

Wrap the berries in each individual portion.
After boiling

will rise to the surface of the
water, in
which case they should be cooked for a couple more minutes.
After cooking, it is recommended to pour melted butter over the gombovtsy. The result is a delicious Hungarian dessert.
