There is no exact information about when exactly Polish fish appeared. It can be said that this dish is boiled fish with a sauce of butter and boiled eggs.
Polish fish can be made of different kinds of fish, but most often cod, pollock or pikeperch are used. The dish is served with mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes. This is a simple but tasty dish that can be both everyday and festive.

Ingredients:
- pollock fillet – 3 pcs;
- black pepper – 3 pinches;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- onion – pcs;
- butter – 50 g;
- boiled eggs – 4 pcs;
- cream – 150 ml;
- parsley – bundle.
Cooking fish in Polish style:
Sprinkle pollock fillets on all sides with salt and ground black pepper, rub the spices and salt into the fibers.
Cut into small cubes onion, fry in melted butter in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes.
Cut eggs into small cubes, add to onions, salt and mix. Fry onions and eggs for a couple of minutes, pour cream into them.
Pepper the eggs and onions, fry for another 2-3 minutes, then put the fish in the sauce.
Braise the fish under a lid for 7-8 minutes, then turn to the other side and braise similarly.
Chop parsley finely, sprinkle it over the fish and serve. Such pollock goes well with potatoes and pasta.
