The culture of baking pies is as popular as the culture of consuming these flour products. Constantly in the Guinness Book of Records you can find a new chef who has broken the record of the past opponent.
For example, in 2000 in Cyprus was baked a pie with a length of 120 meters. The weight of such a flour product reached a couple of tons. This pie was intended for celebrating the New Year on the island.
In 2008, the Greeks were able to prepare the largest layer cake. Its weight was equal to 120 kilograms
. We will make pies more modest, however, also very tasty. We will make baked goods on kefir with potato filling.
Ingredients for potato pies:
- kefir – 250 ml;
- dill – a bunch;
- salt – tsp;
- parsley – a bunch;
- sugar – tbsp;
- onion – pcs…;
- egg – pcs;
- potatoes – 400 g;
- vegetable oil – 30 ml;
- flour – 400 g;
- leavening agent – tsp.
Preparation of potato pies:
Into the kefir pour granulated sugar, salt and beat an egg, mix the ingredients well. Pour vegetable oil into the mixture, sift flour with leavening agent.
kneaded elastic and soft dough cover with foil, leave in the heat for 15 minutes. In the meantime boil the peeled potatoes until soft, grind them into mashed potatoes.
Dice the onion
into
small cubes, fry in vegetable oil until golden. Finely chop dill and parsley, add to the mashed potatoes together with the fried onions.
Knead the dough, divide it into 20 equal parts, form lumps
.
Roll the dough lumps into tortillas, where we put the stuffing. Seal the mashed potatoes in the dough, in the shape of a triangle.
Drop the pies seam side down into hot vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the pies on each side until browned.
Be sure to add your favorite spices and salt to the filling to taste.
You will get quite a lot of such pies, so you will have enough for a long time.
