Flatbreads are one of the most popular and ancient types of bread in the world. The first flatbreads appeared in the Neolithic
period and their origin is connected with many interesting myths and legends. However, the most reliable version of the origin was offered by archaeologists. In their opinion, the first flatbread appeared by accident, when primitive people dropped wheat porridge into the fire.

Let’s try to prepare flatbread at home.
Ingredients for flatbread:
- Egg – 1 piece;
- Kefir – 200 ml;
- Milk – 200 ml;
- Salt – 0.5 tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 50 ml;
- Cheese – 100 g;
- Green onions – 1 bundle;
- Flour – 200 g;
- Baking soda – 0.5 tsp.
Preparation of flatbread:
In a bowl add egg, milk, kefir, oil and salt. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a whisk.
Grate cheese on a coarse grater and finely chop green onions, send the components to the main mass. Pour the flour and baking soda into the bowl with the egg mixture, bring the mixture to homogeneity, getting rid of lumps.
Grease a heated
frying
pan with vegetable oil, spread the dough on the surface in a small layer, completely covering the bottom of the pan.
Fry the flatbread on medium heat under a lid on both sides, bring to a golden color.
Flatbreads will be a great addition to the main course. But they can also be served as an independent dish.
