Potatoes are one of the most common vegetables around the world. It is hard to imagine a country where potatoes are not grown. In countries where there are no potatoes, they usually grow yams. This is a sweet potato, a vegetable close to the original.
In our country, the potato became popular after the XVI century. One of the breeders of vegetables, including potatoes, was the grandfather of Alexander Pushkin. Potatoes
can be used to prepare many interesting dishes. For example, pies with potato filling are in demand.
Ingredients for potato pies:
- potatoes – 3 pcs;
- onions – pcs.;
- carrot – pcs.;
- zucchini – pcs;
- salt – a pinch;
- ground black pepper – a pinch;
- egg – pcs.;
- sour cream – tbsp;
- flour – 300 g.
Preparation of potato pies:
Peel potatoes and cut into large pieces, boil for 15 minutes until ready. Cut onions into small cubes, chop carrots on a coarse grater
. In a small amount of vegetable oil fry carrots and onions until soft. Shred zucchini on a coarse grater, squeeze off excess juice.
Put the zucchini mass in the pan, mix with onions and carrots

Add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to the fried vegetables.
To boiled potatoes, break an egg, add sour cream, create mashed potatoes. Do not forget to salt the mashed potatoes.
Sift flour into the mashed potatoes in 3 parts, knead the potato dough. Divide the dough and filling into 4 equal parts. Sprinkle the table with flour and place ¼ of the dough on the surface.
Using your hands, form a thick, round flatbread, place the filling on half of the flatbread. Cover the filling with the second part of the dough and seal the edges.
It turns out like a cheburek, which we put in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil.
Fry the pies on both sides until golden color.
