For example, in Tuscany almond cakes are popular, in Florence – chocolate cakes, and in Naples – with cream based on ricotta cheese.

Italian cakes are distinguished not only by their appearance, but also by their unique flavor.

Ingredients for sponge cake:

  • Kefir – 250 g;
  • Sugar – 200 g;
  • Egg – 1 pc;
  • Salt – a pinch;
  • Vanillin – 1 g;
  • Leavening agent – 10 g;
  • Cocoa – 3 tbsp;
  • Flour – 200 g.

Ingredients for the cream:

  • Sour cream – 400 g;
  • Boiled condensed milk – 4 tbsp.

Preparation of Italian cake:

Pour kefir into a bowl, add sugar, egg, salt, vanillin, leavening agent and cocoa, mix thoroughly. Pour the flour into the mixture and knead a thick dough. Pour

the dough into a baking dish lined with parchment and bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Then divide the biscuit into a couple of cakes and leave to cool.

For the cream, mix sour cream with condensed milk. Spread a part of the cream on one cake, cover the filling with the second one.

Smear the top and sides of the cake with cream. Leave the cake for an hour for soaking.
