Apple baking has been winning the hearts of millions for many years. Since ancient times, people have constantly prepared apple pies. Up until the XV century, such pies replaced the desserts we are used to now.
Apples can be used to make not only the classic charlotte and apple pies, but also other types of baked goods. For example, small rolls in the base of which will be cottage cheese.
Apple filling is perfectly combined with cottage cheese soft dough. Especially if you add cinnamon to the apple filling. Let’s make apple rolls together.
Ingredients for apple rolls:
- egg – pcs;
- sugar – 2 tbsp;
- salt – a pinch;
- lemon zest;
- cottage cheese – 200 g;
- vegetable oil – 70 ml;
- flour – 200 g;
- leavening agent – tsp;
Ingredients for the filling:
- apples – 2 pcs;
- butter – one tbsp;
- sugar – 2 tbsp;
- half a lemon;
- cinnamon – ½ tsp.
Preparation of apple rolls:
In a bowl beat a couple of eggs, pour salt and granulated sugar. Grate lemon zest on a fine grater into the mixture, do not reach the white bitter skin. With
a whisk mix eggs with sugar and salt until the grains of sand are dissolved.
Pour
the curd into the mixture, pour in the vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.
Pour the flour and baking powder into the curd mixture, knead an elastic and soft dough.
While preparing the filling, gather the dough in cellophane.
Peel the apples from the peel and rub them on small grater cutters

In a skillet, melt butter, fry the apple mass on it. Pour granulated sugar to the apple
mixture
, mix.
Pour lemon juice into the apple mixture, pour cinnamon, mix. Fry the apple mixture until the liquid evaporates.
Next, cool the apple mixture on a flat plate.
Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out one of the parts into a 5 mm thick round.
Place a flat plate on the plate and cut out a circle according to the diameter of the plate.
Divide the round into 8 triangles

Spread a tablespoon of filling on the thick edge of the triangles. On the narrow edge make small cuts along the edge.
Wrap the stuffing inside the triangles, opening the cuts slightly. Place the rolls on a baking tray, smear with egg yolk.
Bake the rolls at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
As a result, we have tender and soft rolls with apples. If desired, you can decorate them with powdered sugar after cooking.
