Many bakers say that a real pie must be cooked for a long time. It is as if in this way a person puts a piece of his soul into the dish. This legend dates back to antiquity. Pies were cooked for a really long time. But, it was due to the fact that people did not have an oven and a lot of ingredients in free access.
Pies were baked from what was at hand. If there was an apple harvest, the pie will be with fruit, if a lot of fish caught by the head of the family – so pies are baked with fish.
Now in this plan there is a choice of what kind of pie to cook. And it is not necessarily necessary to make it for a long time.
Ingredients for pie with pickles:
- onions – pcs;
- leavening agent – tsp;
- pickles – 4 pieces;
- flour – 200 g;
- boiled eggs – 4 pcs;
- mayonnaise – 3 tablespoons;
- kefir – 200 g;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- eggs – 3 pcs.
Preparation of the pie with pickles:
Onions are cut into small cubes, fry in a frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil. Salted cucumbers are chopped on large grater cutters, transfer to soft fried onions.
Cucumber and onion should be fried in a frying pan for about a couple of minutes. Next, you need to cut boiled eggs into a small cube, mix in a bowl with the onion-cucumber mass.
To prepare the dough, you need to combine in one bowl mayonnaise, kefir, eggs and salt. Sift flour into the mixture, knead the dough with a whisk.
Place ½ of the dough in a baking mold. Spread the cucumber and onion filling on the surface of the dough. Cover the second part of the dough with the filling, spreading it evenly over the mold.
Bake the pie for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees in the oven.
As a decoration, you can use sesame seeds. Sprinkle it on the top of the pastry before baking.
