I take potatoes and some minced meat. A simple recipe, but my family loves it: juicy and hearty casserole

Casserole first appeared as a separate type of dish in 1886. A housewife decided to make a dish from leftovers collected from the dinner table. The woman mixed the leftovers in one bowl, poured whipped eggs and baked in the oven.

Since then, this dish has become familiar on the table of most people in different countries. We will tell you what kind of casserole can be prepared in a small amount of time.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • Potatoes – 700 g;
  • Salt – 1 tsp;
  • Egg – 1 piece;
  • Butter – 30-50g;
  • Milk – to taste.

Ingredients for stuffing:

  • Onion – 1 piece;
  • Stuffing – 500 g;
  • Salt – ½ tsp;
  • Black pepper – to taste
  • Sweet paprika – ½ tsp;
  • Dried garlic – ½ tsp;
  • Flour – 1 tbsp;
  • Milk – 300 ml;
  • Cheese – 100 g.

Preparation of the casserole:

Onions are finely chopped and put on a heated frying pan with vegetable oil. In the frying pan also put minced meat, adding paprika, salt and dried garlic.

After a few minutes, pour into the frying pan milk, pour in flour, stir. Cook until thickened and immediately remove from the heat.

Add butter to the boiled potatoes and mashed potato them

Pour a little milk into the mashed potatoes, beat an egg, mix thoroughly.

Grease a mold with butter. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on the bottom of the mold. Put minced meat on top of the mashed potatoes, spread it in an even layer. Grate cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle on the top of the casserole.

Put the mold in a preheated oven to bake for 20-30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius

This dish can be served immediately after baking. A cream sauce will be an excellent accompaniment.
