Pita dishes have a special history and a certain oriental charm. The preparation of such dishes began in southern countries. In particular, lavash is known in the CIS countries thanks to Georgia, Armenia and the Caucasus.
In these countries lavash is used even more than ordinary bread.
Lavash
is
used with meat, vegetables and even fruit. Probably thanks to some such experiment, shawarma was invented.
It is worth telling about rolls with minced pita
bread
.
Ingredients for rolls with minced meat:
- Stuffing – 300 g;
- Onion – pcs;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Paprika – pinch;
- Coriander – a pinch;
- Cheese – 130 g;
- Dill – bundle;
- Egg – 2 pcs;
- Milk – 60 ml;
- Flour – 2 tbsp;
- Lavash – 2 sheets.
Preparation of rolls with minced meat:
Cut a small diced onion, mix it with minced meat. Pour 30 ml of milk into the mince, pour salt, paprika and coriander
. Grate cheese on small grating cutters, finely chop dill
.
Pour the dill and cheese into the bowl with minced meat, mix thoroughly.
Divide two sheets of pita in two. You get 4 sheets, each of them divided into 4 rectangles. On each rectangle put minced meat, spread it over the entire surface.
In a separate bowl break an egg. Roll each layer into a roll. Brush the edge of the layer with egg to better fix it on the pita.
Pour milk into the egg mixture, pour flour and mix thoroughly. Envelop the rolls in the egg mixture and send them to a frying pan with heated vegetable oil.
Fry each roll until golden on both sides under a lid on medium heat.
Place the rolls on a paper towel to drip off the oil.
These are lazy meat patties for every day.
