Coconut cookies are a delicious and flavorful treat that can be a great addition to a cup of tea or coffee. It has a delicate texture and rich coconut flavor. Coconut
cookies can be prepared in different ways: there are many recipes that differ in ingredients and method of preparation. However, they all have in common the addition of coconut shavings, which gives the cookies their distinctive flavor and aroma.
Coconut shavings can be added to the dough itself or used to decorate the finished cookies.
You can also experiment with additional ingredients such as nuts, chocolate or dried fruits to give the cookies new flavors.
Ingredients:
- Eggs – 2 pcs;
- Sugar – 80 g;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Butter – 70 g;
- Flour – 290 g;
- Baking powder – 1 tsp;
- Cocoa – 1 tbsp;
- Milk – 1 tbsp;
- Jam – 3 tbsp;
- Coconut shavings.
Cooking cookies with coconut shavings:
Break eggs in a bowl, pour sugar and salt into them, pour in melted butter and mix thoroughly. Pour the flour and baking powder into the mixture and start kneading the dough.
Divide the elastic soft and not sticky dough into 2 equal parts. Mix one part with cocoa and milk.
Divide both parts of the dough into a couple more parts and roll each part into a small round. Stack the 4 layers on top of each other, alternating between chocolate and regular dough.
Prick the entire surface of the dough with a fork, send it to bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees. After cooking, smear the top of the cookies with jam and sprinkle liberally with coconut shavings.
After cooking, you also need to divide the large layer into small cookie slices. This makes a delicious dessert for tea.
