Incredibly tasty dumplings with cottage cheese. The simplest dough recipe: boiling water, without eggs

The history of dumplings goes back several centuries. This dish was known in ancient Russia. At that time, vareniki were considered a festive dish and were prepared on special occasions.

Vareniki were bags of dough with a filling inside. The filling could be different: from cottage cheese and berries to meat and vegetables.

Over time, dumplings became more accessible and began to be prepared not only on holidays, but also on ordinary days. They became one of the most popular dishes among peasants and landowners

. Today, dumplings remain a favorite dish of most people. They are prepared with a variety of fillings and can be both sweet and salty.

Ingredients:

  • Flour – 450 g;
  • Boiling water – 250 ml;
  • Salt – 1.5 tsp;
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
  • 9% cottage cheese – 700 g;
  • Egg – 1 pc;
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp;
  • Butter – 50 g.

Preparation of dumplings with cottage cheese:

In a bowl with flour and a spoonful of salt, pour boiling water and make a dough, form it with a spatula. Gradually pour vegetable oil into the dough, start kneading with your hands.

Knead the dough on the table for about 5 minutes, get a homogeneous lump. Leave the dough under cellophane for 20 minutes.

For the filling, mix the sugar in a bowl with the egg until the grains of sand are dissolved. Pour the egg mixture into the cottage cheese and stir.

Divide the dough into two parts, one part larger than the other. Roll out the larger part into a bundle, divide into small pieces.

Roll each piece into a thin round cake. Put a spoonful of cottage cheese in each flatbread and seal the filling inside.
