Pyshki were once popular among children and adults. They are puffy balls of dough cooked in vegetable oil. Crispy golden balls were prepared everywhere and in large quantities, especially in large families. Nowadays few people remember about pyshki. Probably, the recipes have been preserved by grandmothers, but few people cook them.
At the same time, pyshki were a universal type of baked goods. They were cooked quickly and lasted for a long time.
Puffins

. It is worth making puffins at least once. This is a pastry from which it is difficult to tear yourself away.
Ingredients for dumplings:
- Egg – 2 pcs;
- Flour – 240 g;
- Cottage cheese – 400 g;
- Baking powder – 1 tsp;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Sugar – 40 g.
Preparation of puffballs:
Whip the cottage cheese with a blender to a creamy mass, beat the eggs to it and pour sugar and salt, mix. Pour the flour and baking powder into the mixture, knead the dough
into an
elastic and non-sticky
dough
.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll out into bundles

Divide the bundles into small pieces and roll into balls.
In a frying pan in hot vegetable oil fry the dough balls until golden on all sides.
Place the dumplings on a paper towel to let the excess oil drip off.
You will get golden soft dumplings for breakfast and snack.
